7 Brands. One Nordic Vision.

DESIGN Latvia brings the understated luxury of Northern European design to New York City. Seven Latvian design brands will present a showcase at BD | NY, one of the leading trade fairs for boutique hotel design. Inspired by the Nordic winter sun, our products are distinctive, fully customizable, and designed to elevate hospitality projects to the next level.

A Boutique Experience Across Every Part of Hospitality

The exhibition is designed as a compact interpretation of a boutique hotel, where Latvian design is revealed through materials, light, and form across four functional zones. It features both carefully crafted products and tailored solutions, demonstrating the impeccable taste, craftsmanship, and technical expertise of Latvian design manufacturers.

The Hotel Bar

The Hotel Bar

The focal point of the bar zone is the award-winning Orion bar cabinet by the furniture brand Kanttari. Designed by Renats Kotlevs, founder of Kanttari, in collaboration with glass artist Artis Nimanis, the cabinet merges sculptural elegance, engineered craftsmanship, and luxurious materials that elevate any living space, dining room, or hospitality interior.

The Lounge

The Lounge

In the lounge area, Nordic design is revealed through the interplay of flowing forms and rich textures. Furniture maker nordi presents its new Bo lounge chair, which balances comfort, a robust sculptural silhouette, and nuanced plasticity, enhanced by the play between light and shadow. The composition is complemented by a travertine coffee table created by stoneworks company Pilsakmens.

Glassworks company AM Studio adds another dimension of light and transparency to the exhibition. A divider wall showcasing various textures of glass, a sculptural mirror reminiscent of ripples in the water, and two art objects created by Anda Munkevica.

The Spa

The Spa

The spa zone of the exhibition is designed to create a calm and sensual atmosphere that fosters well-being and self-care. The Alba collection, designed by the world-renowned designer Karim Rashid for the bath manufacturer PAA, brings together contemporary design language, technical expertise, and innovative materiality. The bathtub is presented in a new gray SilkStone® finish that combines the durability of stone with a warm, silky-matte surface. The focus on materiality is further revealed in the marble bathroom cabinet by Pilsakmens and the striking Cipollino marble contrasts with the laconic shape of the cabinet.

The Conference

The Conference

At the center of the conference zone are stackable plywood chairs by PLYcollection. Combining technical know-how with refined aesthetics, the company manufactures unique molded plywood furniture that fit anywhere—from homes and offices to boutique hotels. The zone is complemented by nordi’s TiME collection—sculptural solid-wood objects that can be used as stools, side tables, or nightstands. The atmosphere in all four zones is further enriched by the diverse patterns of Livette’s Wallpaper designs.

Partnership

Following our showcase at BD | NY, we are looking for architects, interior designers, and representatives with an established network in hospitality interior design and experience in trade sales. We value professionals who understand both the US market and beauty of Nordic design - spanning furniture, lighting, textiles, and glass, and who can bring it to boutique hotels, interior studios, and retail partners.
